Loss can change the way we see ourselves, our experiences, and the world around us. It can reshape our hearts in ways we never expected. Through some of life’s most painful moments, we may also discover a deeper compassion for others who are hurting.
Finding purpose after loss does not mean the experience was easy, nor does it suggest that every painful moment had a simple explanation. Instead, it means recognizing that even through hardship, there can be opportunities for growth, deeper understanding, and a renewed sense of purpose.
My book, Hugs for My Heart, reflects this message. Through my own journey of grief and healing, I discovered that personal pain can become a source of encouragement and hope for someone else. The experiences that once left me feeling brokenhearted also helped me understand the importance of compassion, faith, and simply being present for those who are grieving.
Finding hope after losing someone you love does not mean forgetting the past. It means learning how to carry that love with you while giving yourself permission to heal.
Grief changes the way we experience life. It can bring a depth of pain that is difficult to put into words, and there may be days when simply moving forward feels overwhelming. But grief does not have to control the rest of your story.
Through faith, support, reflection, patience, and time, moments of comfort can begin to return. Little by little, hope can find its way back into your heart, and you may discover a new sense of purpose in the life that is still before you.
If you are walking through the pain of loss and searching for comfort, hope, or simply a reminder that you are not alone, Hugs for My Heart offers gentle reflections on grief, faith, healing, and learning to move forward one day at a time.
My prayer is that these heartfelt words will meet you exactly where you are and bring encouragement to each step of your journey.
And above all, I want to remind you of this:
You are not alone in this season of your life.
God is with you in the tears, the questions, the quiet moments, and the days when you are unsure how to keep going. He still has a plan and a purpose for your life.
May you feel His presence surrounding you, His peace comforting you, and His love carrying you as you grieve, heal, and slowly discover hope again.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
